What is meant by website traffic
Website traffic is the amount of data sent and received by visitors to a web site. Website traffic is determined by number of  times a visitor visits a page. In order to visit a website by a visitor, you must give sufficient contents to them. Also they must understand what is the content about and how much is useful to them.

1. Visitor 
Also called unique visitor, is an individual visiting a website over a specified period of time or individuals who have visited a website at least once in a fixed time frame, typically a 30 day period.

Bounce rate is another term related to internet marketing. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and leave the site immediately.  When a visitor wants to know more about a thing, he or she search it on a search engines like Google or Yahoo etc, and enters into a website. Then look for for data in the website. If he finds the data is sufficient to understand, then he spent more time in a that particular website. Also he read related data in other pages of same website. That means he spent more time in that particular website.

The importance of bounce rate is that an entry page with a low bounce rate means that the page effectively causes visitors to view more pages and continue deeper into the web site. That is your website is good from the view of particular visitor.

High bounce rates typically indicate that the website is not good from the the view a that particular visitor, so that you have to improve your website contents clarity. Due to this high bounce rate visitors only view single pages without looking other pages in your website.

4. CTR-Click Through Rate
CTR is Click Through Rate. It means that ratio of the number of times your ad was clicked to the number of times ad was displayed. It would be displayed in percentage(%).
The number of times ad displayed in your site is called impression. That is if you are placed 3 ads (of same type) in your website, when a visitors come to your site and see your ad in full(completely loaded ad), then you will get 3 impressions from it. Most advertisers does’t permit to place more than 3 ads. When you are placed more than 3 ads in your website you will get maximum of 3 impressions.
For example if you get CTR is 1%, it means that your ad had received 10 clicks from 1000 impression.
That is (10/1000)*100.
The importance of CTR-Click Through Rate is higher CTR results in lowering of Cost Per Click.
A higher CTR will ensure a higher quality score of the keywords. Also it means that you will get more money from ads.

5. Conversion 
Conversion is the process doing a particular operation in the website. That means buying a product form a website or filling up some forms or subscribing their newsletter etc.

6. Cookie
Cookie is a data coming from a website and which is stored on your  computer by your web browser while you are browsing. Cookies are used to store some information about your activities in your web browser. For example when you fill up some forms in a website there will be automatic filling up of your personnel data, this is done by some cookies on your website.

Then another use of cookie is that recording which pages you were visited in the past, that is when you search for Google.com on your Google chrome browser in first time, the browser enters into Google.com. After some time you enter same word Google.com, the browser automatically shows related words like Google.com on your address bar.

7. Crawler
Crawler is used primarily by search engines, this automated program gathers information from the internet by indexing and reviewing a website for new content, usually they go through a site every few days, but it can take up to 2 weeks for a crawler to index an entire website.

8. Entry Page
The first page viewed by a visitor while entering into a website.

9. Exit Page
Exit Page is the last page viewed.

10. Impressions
The number of times you are viewing a page is called impression. For example if a your site having 3 ads (of same type), when a visitors come to your site and see your ad in full(completely loaded ad), then you will get 3 impressions from it. 

11. Organic Search and Paid Search
Organic search is natural process of finding a website by SEO(Search Engine Optimization). When you are searching a keyword, for example blog-the search engine gives results related to that keyword. That is different website which contains that keyword.

The paid searches are advertisements. When a website owner paid for some keywords of his website to third party advertising company, so this website show up when someone runs a search query containing those keywords.

Words and phrases entered in a search engine to reach a result page. Keywords help position websites well to attract potential customers.

Keyword research is the process of identifying Keywords, which get the good amount of search volume/month. For example, take a Keyword-blog: the crawler give different website which contains this keyword, top positions in Google based on this keyword and number of visitors.

So search for keyword and includes it in your posts as many times. So your websites goes into top position with little time.

13. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines through the organic or unpaid search results. Typically, the higher ranked and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, because  these websites have more visitors.

In order to get top position in in the search engine you have to add more keyword to your content.
